AFA member Aliansi Petani Indonesia (API) (Indonesia), Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) (India) and partners COAST Foundation (Bangladesh), Pambansang Katipunan ng mga Samahan sa Kanayunan (PKSK) (Philippines), Federation of Community Forestry Users Nepal (FECOFUN) (Nepal), and Kastom Garden Association (Solomon Islands) embarked on a community radio project initiated by the FAO and AMARC Asia-Pacific through the ComDev Asia initiative.

This is the third phase of the regional campaign which runs from April 26-October 26, 2023. This campaign aims to shed light on the critical role of family farming in the Asia-Pacific region. The farmers’ organizations involved will actively participate in the campaign by providing insights for the campaign content and in impact assessments.

Aligned with the United Nations Decade of Family Farming 2019-2028, this phase of the campaign focuses on enhancing awareness about the progress of the UNDFF through the National Action Plans and policy dialogues in Asia and Pacific countries. Building on the momentum from the previous radio campaigns, our objective is to further amplify the significance of family farming (AMARC Asia-Pacific).
