The Vietnam Farmers’ Union (VNFU) completed a training course on project management for VNFU staff at central and provincial level last April 17 to 18, 2008, though a technical assistance fund made available by AFA.
The objectives of the training course were: (1) to improve knowledge and skills of VNFU staffs in mobilizing aids and managing internationally funded projects; and, (2) to provide an opportunity for VNFU staffs to share experiences in these fields.
The training course focused on the following contents: (1) management situation of internationally funded VNFU projects; (2) NGOs and aid mobilization; (3) project management mechanism; (4) management of development project cycles; and, (5) common problems in project management.
There were 26 participants consisting of 15 from VNFU at the national level and 11 from the 7 provincial Farmers’ Unions.
