The Farmer’s Federations Association for Development Thailand (SorKorPor) hosted the visit of representatives from the Vietnam National Farmer Union (VNFU) last March 25-30, 2008 in order to learn from Thailand farmers’ initiatives on agricultural self-sufficiency and to strengthen the ties between the two farmer organizations and the rest of the Asian Farmers’ Association (AFA), which is currently being chaired by SorKorPor.
VNFU had a chance to visit the Agriculture Learning Center, the Museum of Agriculture, the Thai-Market (the biggest wholesale market for agricultural products) and learn about SorKorPor’s exchange and co-operation with the department of Agricultural Extension.
