Over 70 participants representing various cooperatives in the Philippines as well as partner organizations participated in the Organic Rice and Fertilizer Value Chain Forum 2018 at Max’s Restaurant, Scout Tuazon, Quezon City, Philippines on 28-29 November 2018.
The forum presented key discussions on the commercialization of organic rice and organic fertilizers, scaling up production and marketing for cooperatives, and tracing the roots of the organic industry in the country.
The speakers from partner organizations and agricultural sector shared insights on the development of the organic industry in the Philippines and helped open up opportunities for partnership, collaboration, and integration for the participants.
Asian Farmers’ Association co-organized the forum together with AgriCOOPh, PAKISAMA, CSA, and CDA.
