Seoul, South Korea — The Korean Advanced Farmers Federation (KAFF) held its 11th National Festival last August 11-13, 2008 in Muju Resourt, Jeonbuk province.
Held every 2 years, the festival aims to promote unity and harmony among KAFF membership and to provide a venue to discuss agricultural policy alternatives.
More than 30,000 farmers took part in the festival, which lasted for 2 night 3 days.
To the opening ceremony was attended by South Korea’s Agriculture Minister and many lawmakers and politicians.
The government also gave this year’s award to KAFF’s most excellent member.
Through the festival, KAFF presented its analysis and position on the situation of farmers in South Korea, as well as its action plans for addressing their problems and issues.
