The Agribusiness Support Fund (ASF), the national implementing agency of the APFP-FO4A programme in Pakistan, conducted the APFP-FO4A National Wrap-Up Workshop in Islamabad on 28 November 2025.

The event brought together more than 60 participants, including farmer leaders from Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan; representatives from the Asian Farmers’ Association (joining online), the European Union; government stakeholders; and other development partners.

During the workshop, stakeholders celebrated the remarkable achievements of the FO4A programme in Pakistan—mobilizing over 75,000 farmers, strengthening cooperative structures, promoting climate-smart agriculture, enhancing access to finance, and building sustainable, farmer-led institutions across the country.

The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the collective journey, share success stories, and discuss pathways to sustain and expand farmer organizations beyond the APFP-FO4A programme. Click here to view more photos

The Asia-Pacific Farmers’ Program (APFP) – Farmers’ Organizations for Asia (FO4A) is implemented by the Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA) and La Via Campesina (LVC), with funding from the European Union (EU) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The program aims to strengthen the capacities of farmers’ organizations to provide economic services, advocate for enabling policies, and promote sustainable livelihoods for small-scale family farmers across Asia.
