For so long I couldn’t imagine myself being a farmer. Until now, it still feels surreal sometimes. I can still remember the day I embraced the life of a young agriculturist.

I will never forget the scorching heat from the sun that burns my skin while working in the field and the thorns that pierce my feet when I walk in the mud. I was on the verge of despair when I decided to pursue farming. That’s life. Success may seem too far to attain at first, but it is surely worth the wait.

It was during the process that I realized that I made the right decision. I gained knowledge and even great memories as time passed by. It may seem hard, but what I learned as a young woman farmer is to keep trying, no matter how many times it takes.

Despite experiencing hardships and feeling hopeless at times, I proved that being a female will never be a hindrance to pursuing agriculture and that farming is not limited to a specific gender.
