Capacity Building Workshop on UNDROP and Agroecology
July 5-8, 2022 I Bangkok, Thailand

OBJECTIVES:

  1. Formally forge the four-year-long partnership among 24 organizations that will advocate for UNDROP and agroecology in their respective countries.
  2. Create a regional alliance among the 24 CSO participants that will promote agroecology and peasants’ rights in Asia.
  3. Improve the understanding of 24 CSO participants on agroecology, the right to food, and peasants’ rights as enshrined in UNDROP.
  4. Creation of joint statements for upcoming meetings of various norm-setting bodies.
  5. Distribute learning materials about agroecology to participating organizations.

  • How is it agroecological? In what way?
  • How is it not agroecological? In what way?
  • How can we do agroecology in this ecosystem? What are the innovations developed by farmers?
