Non-governmental organisations can express their views on the World Trade Organisation’s Sixth Ministerial Conference at an October 16 roundtable forum, to be webcast live on the Hong Kong Ministerial Conference website.
The new WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy and Hong Kong ‘s Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology John Tsang, who is also the chairman of the Hong Kong Ministerial Conference, will be the keynote speakers at the forum. It will be held from 2.30pm to 5pm at the University of Hong Kong’s Rayson Huang Theatre.
Oxfam Hong Kong Executive Director Chong Chan-yau, Hong Kong People’s Alliance on WTO Chairperson Elizabeth Tang, University of Hong Kong Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof Richard Wong, Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Dr Eden Woon will speak in a panel discussion.
Representatives from NGOs will participate in the discussion in an open-floor session which follows.
