AgriCOOPh welcomed 22 Vietnamese delegates from the German Cooperative and Raiffeisen Confederation (DGRV) on January 6-11, 2019 for a week-long Advanced Training and Learning Visit in the Philippines.
The activity aimed to deliver advanced training for selected staff of provincial cooperative alliances of Vietnam.
The delegates traveled to Batangas for a two-day study visit in Sorosoro Ibaba Development Cooperative (SIDC) where they learned about the nature, principles, models, and governance standards of Philippine co-ops.
AgriCOOPh and AFA also highlighted the AgriCOOPh Federation’s organizational structure, business plans, and internal control systems for the promotion and sustainability of agri-coops nationwide.
DGRV is the national apex organization and top-level auditing entity of the cooperative sector in Germany. For more than 30 years, DGRV’s International Relations Department (AIB), performs international cooperation aiming on the sustainable development of the cooperative sector worldwide.
The activity was organized by AgriCOOPh in partnership with the Asian Farmers Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA).
