Representatives from AFA members NUWUA and KAFLU (Kyrgyzstan), NAMAC (Mongolia), NLRF (Nepal) and PAKISAMA (Philippines) are attending the International Land Coalition’s Global Land Forum held in Jordan. The AFA representatives will share experiences on securing rights to land and sustainable land management with, by and for family farmers as well as to explore partnerships on promoting strong family farming systems with farmers organizations as key actors in multi stakeholder coalitions on people-centered land governance at national, regional and global levels.

As one of the ILC award finalists, AFA’s good practice on youth engagement in sustainable family farming and land rights will be exhibited in the IDEAS FAIR on 24 May. The Ideas Fair is an open space where people supplying and demanding knowledge meet to “negotiate” the exchange of ideas, innovative practices, as well as tools and approaches with potential for up-scaling.
