AFA was invited to a forum entitled “ASEAN Talks Business”, organized by ASEAN last April 17, 2007. During this dialogue, AFA learned that its proposals on bio-fuels were taken up in an ASEAN Ministers’ Meeting.
The forum was attended by the AFA Sec Gen with the AsiaDHRRA Sec Gen.
As a result of its participation in the forum, AFA became visible as one of the few CSOs invited by ASEAN and it developed contact with ASEAN senior officials on agriculture and economic integration, as well as a senior officer from Microsoft.
