The Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA), represented by Business Development Officer Juneliza Pandela, participated in the International Farmers’ Network Forum 2026 held in Singapore on September 1, 2026.
The first day brought together farmers’ organizations and stakeholders from across ASEAN to exchange experiences, discuss shared challenges, and explore practical solutions amid climate adversity and geopolitical tensions.
A key theme emerging from the discussions was the importance of farmer-led solutions. By drawing on farmers’ technical knowledge and on-the-ground experiences, communities can develop practical approaches that generate income, protect the environment, and promote social inclusion.
The forum provided a valuable space for learning, collaboration, and innovation, highlighting how diverse experiences can be brought together to develop solutions that are both impactful and sustainable.
From the ground, for the ground.
AFA thanks the European Union, through the Technical Assistance Facility to the Green Team Europe Initiative (TAF-GTEI), and the Cocoa Association of Asia for creating this space for collaboration, learning, and knowledge exchange. Click here for more photos
