I am Sajib Kumar Roy from Gabtali, Bogra, Bangladesh. We know well that Bangladesh’s economy depends on agriculture. At present, the country’s agricultural structure is terrible due to climate change. There is a need for the contribution of information, communication, and technology for the development of our agriculture sector.

The use of e-agriculture technology can bring the desired success in ensuring sustainable solutions to agricultural problems and food security. It is possible to develop our economy by incorporating and implementing the strategies of information technology and e-agriculture in the national agricultural policy.

Talking about one of my experiences, when I got involved in agriculture, I took the advice of the agriculture officer of our upazila. The officer told me about e-agriculture services. I sought help from e-agriculture services to get information on when to use pesticides on my land and how to get good crops. It also provides information on how to prevent crop diseases. I receive all this information on my cellphone. And through this e-agriculture service, I have been able to produce my desired crops. With this strategy, I can make more profits by investing less time and money.

E-agriculture services are a unique and practical way of disseminating information, communication, and technology. With these, agriculture has reached a new level. If we can make proper use of agricultural technologies, the economy of our country will reach the peak of dynamism and development.

We need to bring together all the young farmers and advise them to use information technology in all aspects of agriculture. If all the youth working in agriculture use information technology, the agricultural economy will be better. We will be able to eliminate unemployment among the youth. We will be able to develop agriculture in Bangladesh.
