The event features high-level interventions and evidence-based practices from countries and key international actors for agriculture-forestry win-win opportunities that directly contribute to climate change mitigation and resilient landscapes for food security and livelihoods. The panel discussion provided participants with valuable insights on approaches to achieving synergistic relationships between agriculture and forestry in order to feed a growing global population while addressing climate change, providing livelihood opportunities without harming our forests and environment, and ultimately achieving sustainable and efficient agri-food systems transformation. AFA Secretary General Esther Penunia participated as a panelist. The concrete experiences and successes she shared showcased promising practices that, if scaled up and out, could benefit people and forests well beyond a country and region.
