Smallholder farmers in Pakistan propose the following actions to mitigate the effects of climate change on agriculture:
- Climate change and its impact should be made part of the academic curricula and research
- To make an informed decision, conduct qualified and skill-based research on climate change as well as a regular survey on climate change
- Demarcation of flood-prone areas and new land development plan/land use plan
- Plantation/afforestation should be given the highest priority as part of national security
