Hosted by API and Bina Desa, with the cooperation of AFA and AsiaDHRRA, the event included a 2-day workshop, a dialogue with the ASEAN Secretariat, a field visit, a solidarity night, and an Execom meeting.

The objectives of the event were for AFA to be able to (1) articulate the salient points of the Charter, the framework of ASEAN FTAs with China, Korea, Japan and EU, and the current trends in the bio-fuel industry in ASEAN countries; (2) sharpen analysis, policy/program recommendations and campaign plan on these issues; (3) express concerns and proposals to ASEAN officers during a dialogue; and, (4) discuss and decide on important organizational matters during the AFA ExeCom.
