AFA representatives from PAKISAMA (Ka Vic Fabe) and SorKorPor (Khun Wikit), together with the AFA Project Officer for Operations (Jun Virola) and other representatives from SorKorPor (including its Secretary General Chaiwat Suravichai) attended the convention and training on Natural Farming in Jeju, South Korea last November 4-15, 2007.

The AFA Secretary General attended the Synthesis Conference-ACSC 2007 held last October 27-28 in Singapore. This was organized by the Singapore Institute for International Affairs (SIIA).
Saying that the current integration of agriculture in ASEAN countries has not benefitted small men and women farmers, the Asian Farmers’ Association for Sustainable Rural Development (AFA) called on governments, NGOs, business and farmers’ groups to work together in a participatory manner to develop a strategic policy for agriculture that integrates trade and development.
AFA participated in the 3rd APHD Pan-Asia Farmers’ Conference held last October 13-17, 2007 in Bohol, Philippines.
